Dual Visions

Illustration, Acrylic Painting, Digital Animation, Stop-Motion Animation
This project investigates how creative and analytical brains perceive the world differently, inspired by my experience as a mirror twin with contrasting perspectives to my brother. Grounded in secondary research on brain dominance, the project visualizes these perceptual contrasts, aiming to deepen understanding of shared yet divergent viewpoints.

I created four acrylic paintings depicting two perspectives of two scenes: the Liverpool Met Cathedral, a personal daily view, and the night sky around our birthday, a shared significant moment. Using stop-motion animation on the paintings reflecting my twin’s perspective, I visualized how he might perceive these scenes
differently from me. This is a unique approach as it merges art and psychology to explore the rare perspective of mirror twins.
